Design + DevOps: What We’ve Learned from Our Developer Friends

As a design team we bring user needs into everything we do. We lean on Design Thinking practices and research to help us navigate the nuances of our remote teams and the varied people we design for. But, working in a large enterprise and designing at scale has its obstacles. Our software product helps developers embrace monitoring as part of their Agile process, by making it painless and fun to use. So our team ended up working with developers to deliver an experience for developers. Through this journey we saw parallels between the design and development disciplines, with similar pain points and lack of trust. In this session, we’ll share our case study on how these practices enabled us to overcome short- and long-term obstacles, and helped prioritize team efforts in order to deliver meaningful experiences to our customers and help our team become the well-oiled machine it is today.
